Located on the bank of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley it is the capital town of Kullu District. Kullu Valley is the largest valley in the Kullu district. Camping Sight Raison : It is at the distance of 16 km away from Kullu. It is the ideal sight for spending a quite holiday in spectacular settings and for holding youth camps. Here you will have wonderful opportunity to see a large number of fruit orchards which adds special charm to your vacation.

Katrain : Situated at the distance of 20 km from Kullu, it is the central and the widest part of the valley. Here you will see apple orchards and trout hatchery. It is also famous for bee keeping and Govt. trout farm at Patilkulh.

Naggar : Delightfully situated on a wooden slope on the left bank of the River Beas, Naggar provides spectacular view. It is also a base for undertaking treks to Chanderkhani Pass and to remote valley of Malana.

Kasol : Situated on the bank of the Paravati River, Kasol is an ideal holiday destination. It is 42 km away from Kullu. It is well known for trout fishing.

Manikaran : It is 45 km away from Kullu and just 3 km away from Kasol. It is predominantly famous fro hot springs. Thousands of people come here to take a holy dip it hot waters. The water is so hot that dal, rice & vegetables etc. can be cooked in it. It is also a well known pilgrimage place for both Hindus & Sikhs. Ramchandra and Shivaji temples besides a Gurudwara are there.

Malana : Little ahead of the beautiful Chanderkhani Pass lies the village Malana which is famous for the temple of Jamlu and its distinct, social and cultural life. Malana is considered to be the oldest democracy in the world. It would be worth while to visit this village to study the style and social system prevalent there.

Bajaura : It is just 15 km away from Kullu. It is famous for Basheshwar Mahadev Temple. The temple is believed to have been built in the mid 8th century.

Larji : It 34 km away from south of Kullu Valley. It is an excellent spot for trout fishing. It is predominantly famous among anglers.

Banjar : It is 58 km away from Kullu. It is an excellent spot for trout fishing in the waters of river Tirthan.

How to get there

By Train : The nearest railhead is at Jogindernagar (95 km).

By Air : The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, which is 10 km south of Kullu. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air, and there are daily flights between the two.

By Road : Kullu is well connected Shimla, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mandii, Manali, Manikaran, Naggar, Bajura, and Dharamshala.
